A lot of you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You have absolutely no knowledge of running a business. The victim can actually sue the store manager for making them work right after the robbery. Ever hear of the labor board? Yeah, there are legalities to protect us from being taken advantage of. The store is the store managers responsibility. He should have gone in to relieve his employee.

Having worked retail in a place that was robbed a few times, I'd say your boss is completely in the wrong. Our post-robbery procedure required that the store be closed IMMEDIATELY while the police dealt with the situation, with options for counselling to be provided to the employee(s) that were present at the time. A sign would be posted on the door stating that a robbery had just taken place and apologizing to the potential customers for the inconvenience. The loss of a few customers' dollars is NOTHING when it comes to ensuring the safety and peace of mind of the staff. You should start looking for a new job.

I'm sure you called the police, am I right OP? They would have people at the store most likely, searching for DNA and such. Even if not, you should have asked while they were there. Or get a boyfriend, call him, and ask him to stay with you.
