Today, I was was leaving the library when I noticed an elderly woman being mugged. I was about to leave on my bike, but promptly went to help her. After I managed to scare off the mugger, I helped her to her car. As I was heading back to my bike, I notice the mugger riding off on it. FML

If you've already got the bike unlocked, use it to help against the mugger. Ride it over, carry it over to use like a weapon, or use it to block the bastard. Either way, you don't leave a loose bike with a thief about. While it does suck, you did kinda-sorta bring it upon yourself.

How did he try to bring it on himself? He didn't care about his material possession, he just wanted to help an old lady in need. Excuse him for caring more about an old lady's safety than his own bike. FYL.
