He might be loyal but likely his paranoia will turn to constant trust issues between the two.
The ****?
Just because he has paranoia doesn't mean he's crazy or undateable. You may just have to work a little harder to gain his trust. Although, admitting so early that he's paranoid is pretty brave. I don't know if I would be able to tell someone that in fear of being "undateable". At least you know he's honest! I think he deserves a fighting chance, OP. He may turn out to be the sweetest, most loving guy! Rant over.
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean that they AREN'T really out to get you.
*BACK AWAY SLOWLY*
I'm with #4 on this one... Sounds like dudes too loyal to the foil & could use a nap & some good quality down time... Or, maybe he just needs his xanax refilled... Either way, wow...
Does he work in a restaurant kitchen and worries about people stabbing him?

You should've whispered to your wrist," we've been compromised" asked to be exused, then secretly left.
