It definitely wasn't their breaks! It was weird because they didn't even ask for my friends numbers or anything, just chatted with them. There was enough room at the table for them to have done that with me there, so it wasn't that. It was almost like I was too intimidating or something! I found it quite funny in a tragic kind of way and that's probably because of the terrible relationship I've just come out of. I really didn't expect so many nice comments, you guys are the best!

I just hope you weren't stuck with the bill, although if they're the type to ditch you for a couple of cute waiters, they probably would have no compunction about ditching you with the bill. is it too late to return the birthday girl's present to the store? Reading is fundamental. No one "ditched" anyone. Some waiters chatted with her friends while she went to the restroom, and then went back to work. She only cared because the waiters were "very attractive" and she's jealous. Your need to make her noble and deep in this shallow world is bizarrely misplaced.
I read it as the friends and the waiters left. It seemed a bit ambiguous to me at the time.
do you give off a persona that you are to good for them, are you to beautiful, and scare them away? it has to be something your doing.

A few things to consider... are you unattractive? Were they showing more skin? Were you staring at them creepily? Either way those were mr right nows not the mr forever types especially if they're hitting on your friends while working...
