Today, I went to lunch with my sister. As the waitress was bringing our food, she dropped it on the floor. She apologized and brought us new food. After we finished eating and I looked at the bill, I noticed she'd charged us twice. FML

Bring it to the manager & get your money back.

Complain! You shouldn't have to pay for her incompetence!

Tell them "I'm sorry but there seems to be a mistake, can you please take the extra charge off?" and they do no question asked. Takes what, a minute? If you dont look at the check before paying, YDI. If you caught it before paying, then who cares? Unless you paid both, then well, YDI.

I hate when people do that. It's more rude than anything!!

Please tell me you just told her or the manager. And she might've done it by accident but you never know..

She figured she earned it since you got to take a nice long look at her ass when she bent over to pick up your dropped food.

That was her manager making her pay for it. She tried to defer it to you. I hope you didn't pay for it.

Either it was an honest mistake, or the waitress was hoping you wouldn't notice so that the cost of the second meal doesn't come out of her paycheck. Whatever the case, you don't have to pay.

This is silly. I've worked as a waitress for a while now, and there's no way my boss would EVER make me pay for food I dropped (which is very very very very very very rare). To get food made, you have to type it into the computer, and the order gets sent to the cooks, and then you print out that ticket for the bill. She clearly was very flustered that day (probably cuz she felt bad about dropping your food) and forgot to take the second set of entrees off the bill. Honest mistake. Just TALK to your waitress, she'll fix it! (Or you could just go on the internet and complain about it.)

Don't tell me you seriously just accepted the double charge.
