Today, I went to my dentist's appointment with huge anxiety because I had to get a filling. Last week, I paid $120 to be told I needed this filling. This time, I paid $80 to be told my teeth are fine. Each visit lasted all of 5 minutes. FML

They should reimburse you for the second appointment. It isn't fair.

OP you should probably try to find a new dentist.

This happened to me about a month ago , they said I had two cavities and I took care of it. The next time I went they looked at my old X-rays and said I never had cavities to begin with and they don't know why they did the procedure.

I would insist on getting the reimbursements for both visits since their diagnosis on the first visit was wrong meaning they didn't do their job right.

If you could ask some dental hygienist (my dad's one) and they might give you some real honest recommendations for a dentist.

Your dentist sucks. Time to find a new one.

Find a new dentist. I remember I once saw this dentist who told me I had something like 32 cavities. I then went to see another, better dentist (who I still see), and it was most certainly not 32.

you should definitely get your money back and if they refuse, well get a lawyer because that's bullshit.

You need better health insurance if you are paying that much.

Sounds like your dental office is a scam office.

There's this thing called dental insurance…
