Today, I woke up in the middle of the night and panicked because I couldn't find my blankie. I'll be 36 in a month. FML

Even the eldest of us need our blanket warrior. Don't fret, Op, it will protect you with its clothy presence-- no need to be ashamed.

I've had a certain pillow since I was 10 months old.. I'm 21, and I freak out when I can't find it. My blue pillow

I'm super serious about my blankie too, OP. He's falling apart, the day my mom suggested I keep him in a protective bag I cried. It's like a blankie coffin :(

This is me daily. I have this gross old pillow that I love dearly. I suck my thumb & sleep with stuffed animals, I'm 19 ?

omg I did this a few months ago, my mom said I cussed her out looking for my blanket... only difference is I'm 18 haha.

op, im 28 and i have had my bear-bear since i was a 2 year old and i do this at least twice a week.. even my kids know how special and important he is to me. It doesnt matter how old you are, that is your special item of love and comfort. Have no shame in it. xx

I'm 20 and I still freak when I can't find my pooh bear that I've had since I was one. Bare in mind he's an absolute rag now but I still can't sleep well with out him.

I don't have a blankie, but I do have a tiger in my bed. He's stuffed and travels everywhere with me. I'm a 33 year old man.

I have a multitude of stuffed toys (about five) from when I was a kid. they took over after I loved my security pillows to threads and I love them fiercely and don't like anyone touching them. I'm 23 and only sleep with them and my cat :) - if anyone reading the comments loves what most of the other comments mentions, teddies and dolls and such, a book called 'Much Loved' by Mark Nixon seems like the book for you :)
