Hi, I posted this FML. So the goats have escaped their pen and climbed onto the shed roof, don't ask me how because I have no idea. They also attack the watchdog we got specifically to watch them. Poor guy. If my mom didn't like having goats so much I'd have already sacrificed them to Satan, believe me.

If it makes you feel any better for the past two weeks someone lets my ducks out then I have to chase them at three in the morning to get them back in their coop
Get a better pen
Do they have rocks or other things to climb on in their pen OP? Goats love to climb and jump and if they don't have things to climb on, they will get out to find something. Try putting in some logs or, depending on the size of the goat, maybe an old card table (I use a picnic table for my 100+ lb Boers) Hope this helps!! Goats can be trouble but they're worth it for how sweet they get.
It turns out they actually were supposed to be out of their pen, they had escaped before by bending the gate open at the bottom but my mom thought they could be fine wandering around all day and decided to see if she was right. It turns out she was not and they haven't been allowed to roam unsupervised since then.
Again?
So.... Counting goats is not the same as counting sheep.
Quite the opposite.
I've found my pygmy goats on top of a trailer (one of those ones you hook up to a truck to make a motor home). They climbed the tree next to it and managed to get up there. These were pygmies too! They're not even quite to my knee. Goats can get wherever they want.
I wonder how they "goat" up there.
Man, I'd love to see video of that.
