Proper response: "Oh, never mind then!" She's not into you, and she never will be. Politely distance yourself, don't be "just friends" or some other reserve ego booster. You don't have to be a dick, but by no means should you place yourself under the illusion that your crush will ever take a romantic interest in you, or that you will be able to move past the infatuation without breaking emotional and if possible, physical proximity. Don't let yourself be strung along.
