Today, my dad has discovered selfies and my mom has discovered taking pictures of food. Now I'm at a restaurant, suffering through it all and not being able to eat anything until my mom has taken pictures of it. FML

Today, I yelled at my husband for staying out till after 9 and not having done any of the chores. He turned round and yelled right back at me for letting him sit alone at the restaurant, getting sympathy from the waiters, because I clearly forgot today was our anniversary dinner. Whoops. FML

I love that anything remotely negative is getting thumbed down. People sure are defensive over their food pictures. Using your phone at dinner is rude, regardless of the reason.

People aren't defensive over the food, they are defensive Because the op is being intolerant and silly. There is no way that her boyfriend taking 5 seconds out of the meal to take a photo hurts her, but that is the problem with society today, people are so intolerant of the slightest flaw in their partner.
