Well then supposedly they don't need you. I guess that means you don't have to feed them, shelter them, or provide internet
Wish I was that smart growing up
It's simple, turn off the wifi. They'll soon realise they need you
"Hmm, interesting. So, honey, what shall we turn their room(s) into once Social Services takes them away? I was thinking a computer room or maybe you can get that man cave you've always wanted!" Do not let your kids punk you. Once you do that, you've lost control as a parent. As a Social Worker and mandated reporter, I can tell you that if you're doing what you're supposed to do as a parent then you really have nothing to worry about. Many Social Workers will do what they can to avoid removing the child(ren) from the home, including recommending parenting classes and/or counseling, and some won't even come out if there are no bruises. Definitely call their bluff. Definitely.
Call their teachers and inform them of the situation.
Time for a 12 and 14 year old to get jobs and pay bills and rent. Buy their meals from you. Do their own laundry. Pay their own phone bill. A 12 yr old may not be able to get a legit job but mowing lawns and doing odd jobs has no age limit.
time for them to get a taste of real life and pay their own way. bet they'll change their minds when they figure out their phones will be shut off and meals aren't free.
just say you're sending them to foster care where there are rules, bed times, and chores.
sounds like it is time to put them in foster care

You should tell them, that if they say that, they will be taken away from you, and placed in foster care, where there will be rules, bedtimes and chores they're trying to escape.
Something like this happened to my uncle. His son (my cousin) called the cops on him for telling him to study, saying he hurt him. He had to live with us for a couple days. It's sad because now he's too afraid to discipline his youngest one now because if something is brought to the cops again it could get his kids taken away from him.
