Today, my 15 year-old daughter got kicked out of her cheerleading squad because she was overweight. I heard one of the cheerleaders say, "She must be overweight because her mom is." FML

Baby where'd you get your body from? I got it from my mama! That's harsh. I don't think that someone should get booted of the cheerleading team just because they're overweight. It should be about how well they cheer, not how hot or skinny they are. They are just commenting on yours and your daughters weight because they're stupid twats. Don't worry about it OP. I'm sure you're a better person and way nicer than them cheerleaders.

we don't have that in California. try insanity, p90x or insanity assylum...I swear by them

how selfish your daughter got kicked off the team, and all your messed up about is someone saying y'all are fat. Another girl your daughters age. think of your daughters feelings lady!!!

It's pretty ****** up that out of this situation, you used a girl you don't even know thinking you're fat as the "punchline", rather than the fact that a *fifteen year old girl* is being excluded from high school sports because her body isn't acceptable to the people in charge. Presumably if she wasn't fit or good enough to do the cheers, they'd use that as the reason. It's bullshit like this that causes self-esteem issues, not being "fat" in the first place. Why don't "overweight" (many of whom are actually pretty damn normal sized, people are REALLY bad at estimating this these days) girls deserve role models, or even to participate in sports?

That's ridiculously mean... please let your daughter know she can be a cheerleader if she wanrs. You honestly don't have to weigh zero pounds, or else I wouldn't be one.

how do you guys know that what she was saying is based on the girl calling her overweight ... well "she must be overweight because her mother is" has the girl who said it actually know/ seen the mother? and is the girl simply 3pounds over a weight that those "bitchy" calls class as normal?? high school girls are bitchy, and that is life. the mother is feeling upset both that her daughter is exposed to such behaviour that raise self esteem issues... but as demonstrated, it doesn't matter what age you are, snide comments still hurt deep down. your daughter has a right to be a cheer leader. and those girls should shut there trap... :)
