at the end u kinda make about u and not ur daughter and this sood be her FML anyway.
'Sood' does not equal 'should'.
i don't have anything against overweight people, but, aesthetically speaking, people don't want a cheerleader who is overweight. the same can be said for newscasters and other professions where outer appearance is considered a valuable thing. i'm not saying it's right or wrong, but that's the way it is. |the kid|
Although most people would choose to look at someone thin over someone heavy, I can't agree that there is necessarily a strong correlation between someone's weight and how good of a cheerleader they are. When I first started at my high school, one of the more impressive cheerleaders was also the heaviest. I don't know if she took gymnastics when she was young or what, but she was the most acrobatic. I don't think the appearance of an individual cheerleader is important at all, and it's sad that the OP's daughter won't get the opportunity to participate. Also, I didn't have a ton of friends in high school, but the cheerleaders I knew were actually pretty nice (I don't think catty, slutty, etc. is representative of all cheerleaders).
they're so mean, ignore them. (:
