Today, my 15 year-old daughter got kicked out of her cheerleading squad because she was overweight. I heard one of the cheerleaders say, "She must be overweight because her mom is." FML

Today, I have discovered that my daughter is struggling with anorexia. When I sat down to talk with her about it, she said it’s because, "all the other kids at school keep calling her fat." She was underweight before, and has now gone to being severely underweight. FML

Today, I caught my mother telling my 11-year-old daughter that if she wants to be happy in life, she needs to start exercising now, because fat can creep up on you, and rich guys never marry fat girls with nice personalities. I was fuming. FML

Today, like every other day, my daughter thinks that degrading skinny people is very "non-conformist" and "edgy". This time, though, a slightly slim girl punched her in the face when she accused her of being anorexic. Now people think I gave my daughter her new black eye. FML

Today, I discovered my 17 year-old daughter has an eating disorder. When I confronted her, she confessed that she’s doing it because she wants to stay thin, so that her boyfriend doesn’t dump her like her father dumped me for not being thin enough. FML

Today, I was watching my 7 year old daughter and her friend jump on our trampoline. I was really impressed by all the flips they were doing, and I told her "Hey! I can't even do that." To that her friend replied " Of course you can't. You're fat!" FML

Today, I tried out for cheerleading. The judges, two head cheerleaders, sized me up, burst out laughing and made fat jokes towards me. I fought back and called them, "twiggy fucking sluts." At that moment, the coach walked in and saw and reported me to the principal. The judges got off scott free. FML

Today, I went to my parents' house. I recently lost about 30 lbs. My mom hugged me and said, "Aww, you're not my chubby baby girl anymore." She then said she wished I were still fat because she missed it. She's the reason I lost the weight; she used to tease and taunt me. Thanks Mom. FML

Stop the jealousy. Remember that this post was about a cheerleader being overweight, which merely means that she does not have nearly enough stamina to run a full-out routine, possibly makes sloppy moves, and has not benefited from the workouts. Remember that Cheer is a sport, not a clique or a club. If this was any other sport you would all remind yourselves that one needs to be healthy to be an athelete. As for the rude cheerleader, she's just one person, and plus, she's telling the truth. I'm a cheerleader and am not a ***** and my team is not looked at that way so blame your town, not the sport.

Actually fat people can be just as fit as skinny people, and *more so*. I get tired a hell of a lot faster than half the overweight people I know, because they're healthy and I'm not. If the reason she was kicked off was because she was overweight, it's not because she couldn't hack it, or they would have said it was because she wasn't good enough and not brought her weight into it at all.

More weight to carry around all day = more effort and energy exerted. Therefore, Keilah is right and overweight people are more likely to be more fit than a smaller person simply because of their weight.
