You should have been either watching your child or should have put the fish tank up where she couldn't open it on her own.
Thank goodness that's all that happened I've heard from friends and read many stories about children being hurt and killed by fish tanks no matter how small they where or how stable the base is, never have fish tanks around children, small tanks easily get stuck on heads and are unstable, large tanks are a drowning and crushing hazard, even with locked tops
