I think your child needs help. That's terrible.

Poor hamster... either you need to get your son to a psychologist, something is going on that he would take out so much anger and aggression on an animal, kids don't just do things like this "because" although that may be the answer you get if you ask why. The other thing I can think of is he may not have realized what exactly would happen to the hamster if he put it in the microwave. Some kids can't really understand the concept of death, or consequences. He may have just had the childish thought that the hamster would become radioactive, or mutated, or get super powers. Eight year old children aren't well famed for their logical reasoning, so either your son needs a psychologist to get through something that's been happening to him (bullying in school maybe?), or you should explain to him exactly what he did, don't be soft on him and say the hamster went to a farm or something, let him know that his mistake caused his pet to die. If he believes putting the hamster in the microwave wasn't something godawful for the little thing, then how is he to know that he shouldn't put other things in the microwave.

That is indescribably painful. Imagine your insides being slowly cooked. That's what that hamster endured. There was a news article where a crazy woman did this to her cat and got jail time for animal cruelty. Watch out future prisoner in the making.

The blood would boil inside the body and the fat underneath the skin would start to turn into hot oil. It would be the worst pain you could imagine. All your skin nerve-endings would be in pain at once. Eventually they would explode, with the liquid superheating and steam expansion in their bodies.

Take him to a psychiatrist ASAP!! And get a new microwave while you're at it!

That's not even remotely funny and putting it on here for people to comment on, makes you no better. That was a life and clearly neither you nor your son had any respect for it. The fact that so many people on here also find it amusing makes me wonder what sort of world we live in.

Are you new around here? OP posed this on "FML" as in "F My Life". OP was describing how BAD this was to happen to her hamster, and how something might be wrong with her son. In no way is OP disrespecting the hamsters death.

I'm going to hell for laughing at this.

Your child is a loon. We all know what he will become when he grows up! Get him into therapy NOW
