Today, my best friend and I came home from Japan. Her boyfriend and I have been having an affair before I left so I decided not to tell him she was coming with me. We just got off the plane and got a bite to eat, he was waiting for me so he could propose, my best friend was standing next to me. FML

Today, I left for a one and a half month trip to Japan with my boyfriend. He promptly broke up with me the first night in the hotel. When asked why he couldn't have waited until the trip was over, he said he didn't want to create "false memories". FML

#250 Thank you for that insight. We aren't arguing that they got off together. We are arguing a point about if they started the trip together. My whole point is that a lot of people are saying "fake" or "how would the boyfriend not know his girlfriend is going with the OP to Japan? Wouldn't she tell him?" while I'm stating that it says stuff about COMING home not going to Japan (which is strongly being implied - I'm just implying the other end of the spectrum) and that the OP said, we were having an affair before I left (singular) not 'we' which would imply the OP and best friend left for Japan together. It is really arguing semantics at this point because I believe the OP is a waste of human life and deserves to die alone hopefully sooner than later. I'm just trying to convey to people to read and comprehend. KissofDeath decides to actually change words in the original post from COMING to GOING which completely changes the scenario in his/her favor and then tells me I can't read.
