Today, my best friend and I came home from Japan. Her boyfriend and I have been having an affair before I left so I decided not to tell him she was coming with me. We just got off the plane and got a bite to eat, he was waiting for me so he could propose, my best friend was standing next to me. FML

some people don't read properly: those who ask "how did the bf NOT realize his gf went to japan with the girl he was having an affair with?" - it doesn't say they WENT to japan together. i assume the gf was already in japan and then the OP went to japan. then they both RETURNED together from japan. i assume the gf didn't tell her bf she was coming back as well, because she wanted to surprise him. in the end she was the one who got the biggest surprise :(
