Today, my boss called me in to tell me I had got a raise. I bought a $1500 Chanel bag. Two hours later he called me in to tell me he was kidding. FML

It was stupid on your bosses part, but even more stupid on your part. Here is some advice for you: don't spend money that you don't have! But, I guess anyone who spends $1500 on a handbag wouldn't be smart enough to do that. The next time you want to throw away money like that, give it to me and I'll use it to spend on my tuition.

Spending $1500 on a bag and the word reasonable in the same sentence ? Why slap my face and call me crazy. That is simply hilarious. The mentioning of the brand alone just proves the woman's vanity in my opinion. Why not tell the story without mentioning Chanel ? Or would that give less meaning to the FML ? It's not even an FML since the bag can be returned. As for video games I wouldn't really call them useless. There's a lot of coordination and skill in playing video games which can sharpen your reflexes as well as puzzles that can sharpen your mind. Call bs all you want but it's really a fact. As for the sports games, those can still serve as bonding moments either with friends or father and son or whatever. The difference here is that you are buying a bag to supposedly put your things in. You can easily can buy a bag that is way cheaper and can still serve the same purpose. But noooooo....you need a $1500 Chanel bag. Give me a break !!!

I agree i mean srsly. Even if you actually got the raise their are way better things to spend $1500 on. Like food, rent, or a savings account.
