Today, my boyfriend asked me out to dinner, which we never do. While at the restaurant he gets down on his knees, looks me in the eyes, and pulls out a little box. He opens it and inside is a note that says 'We're Done.' He then leaves me at the restaurant with the bill and the $2.00 box. FML

Today, my boyfriend took me out to a fancy dinner. Halfway through, he said he wanted to break up. I started crying, but the whole restaurant thought he'd proposed, and started clapping. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant with my boyfriend. After dessert, he went to the bathroom so I quickly called the waiter over and paid the bill, thinking it was a nice gesture. When he returned, he broke up with me for "emasculating" him. FML

Well, my first reaction was FYL, what a total dick. Then I thought about it, if he was dumping you in such a way, you must have been a total bitch and either cheated on him or were just a crappy girlfriend. If that's the case, then YDI. If you were a nice girlfriend, and didn't cheat on him, then yeah, FYL.
