Today, my boyfriend blew me off yet again because he claims he has a responsibility as a "crew leader" to train and recruit members at all times, to accommodate all time zones. GTA V is ruining our relationship. FML

I actually do play with him and am commissioner of the crew and am a bit of a gamer myself. However, I require a bit more than 2 hours of sleep and don't feel like playing during every bit of spare time I have. We had a talk about it last night though and he agreed to cut down when I'm home from work so we'll see!

Join the crew! Totally worth it!

The only way to solve this is to get another console, get GTA V, join his crew, and then once you get close enough as a team after multiple rounds of robberies and joyrides, systematically kill everyone off in your crew and blackmail them into leaving. Then, once your boyfriend is reduced to an emotional wreck, send him a message that states: "You should have spent more time with me." Or you can ask him to spend more time with you. That works too.

This is why I won't let my kids play games like that. It ruins people's sense of reality, and changes their priorities away from the things that really matter.

You're wrong, I play games all of the time and have been playing them for years now, but that doesn't mean I don't realize that there's real life, people, jobs, etc, too.

I definitely have to disagree with you.... People choose to let a game affect them that way. If you raise your kids right you know theres nothing to worry about.... Maybe you should rethink your parenting policies

Not all gamers are like OP's boyfriend!

I have a job. I have friends. I go out reasonably often. I game as a primary hobby. But I don't take any of them to excess. Sure I arranged to take four vacation days timed to coincide with GTAV release date so I could binge on it for a while. But I let people know that I was dissapearing into the console for a while. And they're used to it in the fall when all my favorite titles come out. I'll take some time off for the new Assassin's Creed when that comes out too. It's no different than taking a couple days off to go to a football game in another state or something. Only much cheaper.

I agree your wrong. Some people have this "view" On gaming, that it desensitizes you, that it changes you, makes you think stealing, killing Etc is ok. That is why those games are M for mature not H for have my over 18 yrs of age parents go buy a game for a Child that is what "gamers" get judged for its not gamers that do this it's others that aren't responsible. Now I'm not saying we don't take credit some gamers are very bad some players Cuss to much say horrible things. But still there are SOO many good things about gaming and SOOO many stereotypes

Video games are serious business, woman!

Get rid of the loser, he can get off with virtual hookers instead
