Sounds like they cared enough to want to break up gently. I still see the FML of your heart being broken but he could have been a heinous douche about it (see some of the other break up FMLs around here).

I don't know OP.. This sounds like a fake. Why would anyone buy anything for someone they're going to break up with, they could have left the same message on an answering machine which would have had the same effect. If it is true F-his-L for having no balls, now you can find yourself a real man.

dude your boyfriends a dick. he should've done it himself and if he was really that scared that he thought he couldn't face you because he was afraid you'd start crying or you'd get really emotional or maybe he'd start feeling bad then he should've at least done it over the phone. but at least he didn't just text you. i think that breaking up by text is the worst thing a guy could ever do to a girl. and people who are saying that at least she got a stuffed animal out of it that isn't necessarily good because the stuffed animal would obviously just keep reminding her of her boyfriend and the fact that they broke up and how he broke up with her. i would never want a boyfriend doing that to me because i wouldn't want to throw out the bear because i'd feel bad if we got back together again and he asked where the bear was and then i would have to say that i threw it away and then he would break up with me again. but if i didn't throw it away i would just keep staring at it and it would make me feel even worse about myself and i would never be able to leave my bed and i would just keep staring at it feeling like all i'm worth to anybody is a teddy bear

What a lame way to break up with someone.. Not that I am surprised because you are definitely not the first person I have came across online that shared their story of how their boyfriend broke up with them the exact same way yours did.

I don't know if I believe this, build-a-bear is expensive and too time consuming to be used for a way to break up with someone.
