As much as my boyfriend and I love each other, there's an unspoken understanding that our education is more important than anything else (he's a Civil Engineering major; I'm in Business Management). You're an idiot for sacrificing something that I would kill to have.
Relationships don't always last forever, but an education does. And you threw away a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve your education (and your future), in order to move in with a jerk like that? If you already knew he was talking to his ex, chances are that they were eventually going to get back together. (Trust me, I know this from experience.) Not only did you miss out on a great opportunity, but you also lost some self-respect.
