Today, my boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me, all because he thought I was a communist, a sinner, and a terrorist, simply because I think the gay rights are OK, because I agree with some feminists, and because I got blonde highlights in my hair. FML

As a male gay feminist, I think you're awesome. I'm also recently out of a long term relationship (4 years), but when the rose glasses get removed I realized I was with an immature, narcissistic, emotionally destructive commitaphobe. That dose of reality helped ease the sting. I'm sure it'll do the same for you as well.
