Well, if You made him a video of You working out, he probably would be watching it over and over again. Maybe, just maybe, he did the video, because he though it would have the same effect on you as your video would have on him.

What anniversary was it? I've seen a lot of couples expect gifts from their s/o on one week and one month anniversaries, and that did not end up well most of the time. I'm going with unpopular opinion as I think that's a cute gift. However, there's some folks that are bad gift givers and need lists instead of hints or anything like that to give'em a hand. Maybe have a chat about it if it bothers you that much.
