Now *that's* ironic, Alanis.
Its the circle of...marriage?
talk about bad timing or is it Isaac Newton's theory of relativity 1. for every proposal, there's a divorce
Goodness, the irony! I'm sorry to hear about your parents, and I wish the best for you and your fiancé.
In life there both additions and subtractions
well life suck
You tried.
on the wrong fml, but you did try.
...law of equivalent exchange?
Don't let it damper your thoughts in marriage. Some people work out, others don't. There will be hard times people have to work through, some can't do that or the people just find it just didn't work. It doesn't mean anything for your marriage, that's all on you and your partner. Its sad and unfortunate, especially with the timing, but all you can do is move forward. Congratulations, and sorry your parents marriage didn't work out.
Congrats on getting engaged. This divorce will only stop your getting married until finalised not been engaged.

Best advice is to lay low with the engagement for awhile, then give them the good news. Better to figure out how this will impact your wedding though, since you'd probably want both of them to be there. I was going to say something witty, but nothing really comes to mind :P Hard to sugarcoat how much this sucks for every party involved :P
What a perfectly balanced family! Congrats anyway!
