quick tell them... if you are 30+ and they are anything from the older days... they will patch things up to get through the facade of a perfect family for your wedding. It just might help them rekindle things seeing the love you both share for yourselves??? Who knows...

Best advice is to lay low with the engagement for awhile, then give them the good news. Better to figure out how this will impact your wedding though, since you'd probably want both of them to be there. I was going to say something witty, but nothing really comes to mind :P Hard to sugarcoat how much this sucks for every party involved :P
