Today, my cute coworker begged me to cover his shift tomorrow, and told me that he wanted to take me to dinner to make up for it. I was very excited because I've been crushing on him for a long time. I later overheard him tell his friend that he didn't plan on showing up for our dinner. FML

You've been had! Tell the same coworker, within earshot of your crush, that you don't plan on showing up for his shift.

then you don't plan on showing up for his shift.

12, that's kinda creepy ha ha. Just sounds like this guy knew you've been crushing on him and he abused that fact. Should be easy to move on, but I'd suggest still being the better person by covering the shift still, but how about canceling dinner on him?

Not working his shift only hurts temporarily. Why do that when you can scar him for life by being creepy!

I agree completely with 13. good thing op heard that, instead of showing up for dinner :(

Well helloo 74, ;). Now that's creepy, ha ha.

...or just confront him and tell that you heard what he said

I've seen so many of ur comments. idk y I'm sending h a msg though. haha. I'm bord and ur cute. lol

You could be the bigger person in this situation. Do the shift, make the extra cash and see the guy for who he is... A boy who needs to grow up :)

tell him you don't plan on covering for his shift.

yeah ditto what everybody else is saying, because the solution is obvious. don't show up for his shift. problem solved

Trading work which you will be paid money for potential sexual favours (at least this is what you hoped for). That kinda makes you a prostitute without the payoff.

honey, never bend over backwards for jerks like that. if you overheard it all, you should have had a little revenge ;) have some respect for yourself.

IME, women are much more likely to bend over frontwards for dicks like this one.
