OP, your dad is just trying to get some relief on his injured back. Sure it's awkward as heck but it's not like he's intentionally doing it to make you suffer. Besides, he's suffering way worse than you are. I gotta say, you kinda deserve it for acting like the world is about you. The injured deserve the sympathy, not you. =
Video it and use it as blackmail. Also, put it up on youtube and make a remix version with some of the following themes: Dubstep Metal Lady Gaga Remix Hip-hop and anything else you can think of. We could make "Air-humping Dad" into an internet meme, people!
This has so much potential. Too bad the idea stops here.
lol, Op's mom would need parts that females don't come equipped with for that to work because his butt would be what was facing her. He would also need to be in to that kind of thing.
"I have to watch him lie on his back..." Yup, face up it is!
uhhh you don't HAVE to watch or listen, rightt?
lol I'm in physical therapy for the same thing lol but I don't do any "air humping" lol and fyl. listen to music in another room possibly??
I actually know exactly what exercise the OP is talking about because I had to do it for both my back and to stretch out muscles in my side. It is an incredibly awkward looking exercise to do but it does help after a while.
OP, grow up, inconsiderate brat.
You don't have to watch him do the exercises you could easily move to another room or any number of other things. If you choose to sit and watch and listen to him groan then that is very much your own choice. He is just doing what he needs to do to make his back better.

You don't have to watch anything u nut just leave the damn room
How is this an FML? Your dad's the one whose injured, in pain, and having to do the exercises (which he probably thinks are just as embarrassing as you do). Did it ever occur to you that the reason you need to be in the room with him is in case something goes wrong and he hurts himself worse? Back injuries, even minor ones, are not to be taken lightly. You don't have to literally watch his every move - read a friggin' book or something. "Oh my god! I have to watch my hurt father 'hump' the air for a few minutes every hour so he can regain his full mobility! My life SUUUUCKS." Grow up.
