Try a coconut oil treatment. Or try some anti dandruff shampoos! Don't scratch your head too. You gotta take care of your problem! Good luck my friend
Winter is coming!
My husband has bad dandruff and none of the shampoos worked. He tried Head and Shoulders, Selsun Blue, among others. So I started doing a lot of research and first I tried a mix of Aloe Vera, Shea Butter (unrefined), and coconut oil once a week as a hair mask. It helped but it didn't completely rid him of it. Finally tried just simple apple cider vinegar and water mixed equal parts, spray onto scalp and leave for 15 minutes after shower, rinse out. Do that every day for a week, and then once a week after that. Some people on the internet had swore by it and I decided to give it a shot and so far it has been really helping him. Hope you can find a solution, op, I know how embarrassing it is for my husband and his isn't as bad as yours seems to be so I can only imagine what it's like for you :/
Try an anti dandruff shampoo. If that doesn't help you could try mixing about 3 tablespoons of thyme in 500ml of hot water and leave it stew for about 15 minutes. Strain it but keep the water. Shampoo and condition your hair, then pour the thyme water on your scalp. Leave it for 5 mins and rinse thoroughly. It might help because thyme is mildly antiseptic. If all else fails try a dermatologist. It could be an allergy to your shampoo or conditioner
Don't feel embarrassed to go to a doctor/dermatologist!
I used to think I suffered from dandruff until I visited a hairdresser. Turns out I actually have a sensitive scalp and anti dandruff shampoo was exacerbating my flakes. I use sensitive scalp shampoo now and haven't flaked in over 10 years.

Perhaps a shower can help honey
Hey OP! I used to have a lifelong dandruff and psoriasis problem since I was a baby. I used medicated shampoos like Head&Shoulders (zinc) and Nizoral (ketocalnzole) but they only temporarily fixed the problem for a day or 2. What really worked was washing my head with salt water (1 part Dead Sea salt, 3 parts water) and biologically active medical grade Manuka honey left on my scalp for 3 hours. Do the honey thing every day for 1 week, then once a week for 6 months thereafter. It CURED my scalp issues for good.
