at least with pregnancy u get a baby after as reward. kidney stones just suck before during and after.

Once you're done with this, not much other pain will bother you. Trust me. I've heard plenty of women say they prefer labor pains over passing a kidney stone, there's just a lot of women out there who want to say labor is worse so they can make the men in their life feel guilty enough to do stuff for them. That's just twisted. I wish you good luck in that it doesn't take long. Try finding a spot where people won't stare at you for screaming like a caveman. Home works of course.

Ouch, my husband just passed one of these. To the OP, a couple of things that might help. If the stone is on the smaller side, get a 2-liter bottle of Coke and a can of asparagus. Over the next two hours, drink the whole bottle of Coke. While you are doing that, puree the asparagus. Within five minutes after finishing the Coke, drink/eat 8 ounces of the asparagus. Something about the combination helps to dissolve the stone. If that doesn't work (it didn't for my husband, his was too large), there is a product called SDR made by Pure Herbs. Follow the directions on the bottle. My husband started taking it around noon and by noon the next day had passed the whole stone. It broke it into smaller pieces that were easier to pass.

A kidney stone is nothing comparable to child birth, get over yourself .... all men think it's so much easier being a woman cause all we do it put on the tears and get what we want ... but men do w/e they want anyway, and don't have to go through menstrual cramps every month, bleed from their ****** every month, get back pains from their period, go through child birth, have to worry about their weight cause men are judge mental ass holes, have to wear makeup, do their hair, make themselves presentable ... guys can get away with wearing w/e they want. I'm not trying to say that guys lives are easy, cause no life is easy, but passing a kidney stone is nothing ... get over it ...
