Did you try just ignoring your dog or firmly saying "no"? Instead you created a mess by pretending to throw the bowl. I assume the "covered" bit is an exaggeration and that the furniture was really splattered. Maybe next time keep a toy nearby that you can throw when the dog is bothering you. As the others have said, chocolate can be harmful for dogs, so keep an eye on your pooch to make sure he doesn't exhibit any signs of illness or distress that may require veterinary attention. I had a cat who went nuts whenever I ate soy ice cream. And I typically would eat it with chocolate syrup. (Chocolate is bad for cats, too, by the way) However, I somehow got through to her that if she would sit quietly while I ate, I would let her lick the bowl when I was done. I mentioned this to her vet, and the vet didn't seem too concerned as it was just tiny amounts. Miss Kitty lived to 18.
dogs can learn what "no" means if you can teach them. but you actually have to be a parent to your pets for them to learn.
More people say YDI, and maybe you did since you threw it, but I also have a gluttonous, food obsessed dog (whom I love to bits!) so I can definitely relate on that part :)
So you were just sitting on the couch eating a bucket of chocolate mousse and decided it was time for the dog to go??
Chocolate is indigestible by dogs and is poisonous to them. take him to the vet ASAP
I have a cat who can be just as big of a pest when I'm eating, One time I was eating a Pop-Tart, something you'd think cats wouldn't be interested in at all, and he tried to snatch out a piece with his claws! but I would never let him eat chocolate because it's just as toxic to cats as it is to dogs.
Lots of people are saying take him to the vet, but I'm going to say it too. Even if he doesn't die, he'll get very very sick. And the chocolate can do irreparable damage to his liver if its not flushed out ASAP with IV therapy.
There is no "irreparable" liver damage. Your liver regenerates.
I'd take him to the vet, dogs stomaches can't digest chocolate

Chocolate can kill dogs so you might wanna take him to the vet
Alan, it says "covered the furniture" that's doesn't sound like a "speck" to me. Plus it could be a small dog and even a little bit is dangerous for them.
