Today, my dog wouldn't stop pestering me while I was eating some chocolate mousse. I tried to get him to leave me alone for a bit by pretending to throw the mousse far away. The pot stayed in my hand, but I covered the furniture in chocolate mousse. My dog enjoyed cleaning it up. FML

Chocolate can kill dogs so you might wanna take him to the vet

Alan, it says "covered the furniture" that's doesn't sound like a "speck" to me. Plus it could be a small dog and even a little bit is dangerous for them.

People, calm down. Yes, chocolate is poison for dogs, BUT in a chocolate mousse there is very little of it. My dog weighted only 7 kg, and she ate chocolate cookies, bits of chocolate fallen from ice creams etc. several times in her life, and she have always been well. Also, our vet made us put garlic in her food when she was a puppy to prevent worms, and garlic is supposed to be toxic too. She died peacefully in her sleep at 17 years old.

Never pretend to throw food the dog wants, are you that stupid? Chocolate can kill your dog.

My step-dog ate an entire box of customized M&Ms my step mother left out. He is still alive, surprisingly.

Chocolate is dangerous/poisonous to dogs. You trying to kill the pup?

chocolate and sugar free gum can position your dog, worst case you can kill your dog.

When I was little, we had a dog. I gave her chocolate many times I don't think I was ever told I couldn't. I can't remember she ever got ill because of it. She was a Schaeffer though. On the other hand, she felt bad after eating bones (not from chicken), even in quite small amounts - it would make her very constipated. Have anyone actually experienced their dog getting ill from chocolate?

Because Homer does that sort of sh*t all the time.

Guys, chocolate increases the heart rate of a dog and a human, more so in dogs, therefore dogs can have chocolate but in small amounts
