A pot? Hmm. Haha.
It's actually more pure chocolate like dark and cooking chocolate that is harmful to dogs. Most of the stuff sold today barely has any real chocolate in it
Actually, it's proven that while most dogs are allergic to chocolate, not all are. Kinda like with humans and poison ivy. So OP's dog could be perfectly fine with chocolate! (Though I don't recommend testing it out.)
Yeah...not really. Who would want to waste chocolate on killing a dog!
I'd take your dog to the vet right away. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs.
Okay, there are already a bunch of lively comments about the dog eating chocolate, it's gonna die/be fine, so I'm not even going to get into that. I will get into how stupid OP is though. If you can't train your dog to not mooch and beg you for food, you are stupid. If you pretend to throw food, and make a mess, to try and get your dog to leave you alone instead of putting it on command, you are an ineffective dog owner, and should put research and effort into learning how to have a better relationship with your dog. There are plenty of resources out there. To not have done this already, as a dog owner, is stupid. If the dog jumped on the mess you made, and you let it eat the mousse, you are stupid. You unintentionally gave it a reward for mooching, reinforcing the bad behavior. Maybe go back to basics and enroll in a puppy class or something. More for you than your dog.
I agree with you, my two never use to wait for food, when our family ate she would sit in her crate. Then my dad did the deed, he fed her from the table and now she hovers whenever we eat anything. We've got her to stop jumping up and barking, but she'll hover by the table still, just hoping. (I think my dad still feeds her) Dogs test the boundaries all the time, you have to be on the ball ready to punish undesirable behaviour (a squirt of water in my case) and reward good behaviour.
I'm going to agree here and add that no matter if a pet has been okay after eating something known to be dangerous, there are warnings about certain food items for a reason. Also, for those who posted about their pets eating chocolate often, diet is as important to a pet's overall health as it is for a person's. Even too much sugar or fat can cause health issues in the long term for a pet. This means more vet bills or suffering for your pet as it reaches its later years.
Not it won't, but your common sense is dead.
Chocolate is toxic to dogs. I hope he bites the hand the feeds -_-;

Chocolate can kill dogs so you might wanna take him to the vet
Alan, it says "covered the furniture" that's doesn't sound like a "speck" to me. Plus it could be a small dog and even a little bit is dangerous for them.
