I honestly don't see the problem. have a modest wedding, splurge on the honeymoon
Except OP isn't the bride in this case.
As awkward as it is, some parents form relationships with their child's significant other, and they sometimes remain in contact. Maybe he & his bride-to-be couldn't afford or just couldn't book a venue. Yea, it's weird to have your ex around, but I think OP is being a little selfish. But maybe that's just my way of thinking because I don't hate my exes.
At least you didn't have to walk all the way to riften to meet with your partner so you could get married and walk all the way to solitude. Sims wedding > Skyrim
Find some roadkill, bury it in your backyard, and then pretend the wedding is actually a funeral. You can also through some mementos and photos in the grave, as a finishing symbolic touch.
Or...oooooor she can just not come? But yea making a big deal out of something that she has no control over does sound like a decent plan B
The story changes a bit when your mother also happens to be Demi Moore and you're having a wedding in the back of Ashton kuchers fancy ass mansion. But this is fml, so there is also probably going to be a mariachi band involved at the wedding too . Drink up
eh? ashton kutcher married demi moore herself, not her daughter
yeah i know and he's with Mila Kunis now. I'm just slightly confused with TheJester's comment. am i missing something?
I feel like I'm in the south!
It would be interesting to hear the bride's opinion.
It is incredibly inconsiderate of your mother to suggest that and I still don't understand why some fml posters don't put their foot down. You should insist that this is very hard on you and you shouldn't have to deal with that in your own home. And what a jerk your ex is, agreeing to have his wedding right under your nose....
i feel sorry for you. if i was i would stand up to your mum tell her how you feel then go round a friends house and grab a film
The hell is wrong with the three of them?????!!! (Mom, ex, and the bride)

Hope for rain?
After reading so many FML posts on how oblivious they are to other people's feelings, I think that mothers don't understand much about this rapidly changing society...
