Wow, look at all the morons calling the girl a tease or saying it's a cop-out. If you aren't in love with someone you aren't in love with them, staying in a relationship with them is disrespectful to both people. There is a difference between being in love and loving someone. When you just love someone it means you care about them a lot and want them to be happy, it's platonic. Being in love with someone means you want to be with them, it's romantic.

uhhmmm have you never seen "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" or whaa? seriously dude she was probably just trying to make you feel better...

That fuzzy warm feeling went away... She still cares about you a lot and even loves you, but not romantically.

i feel that way bout my ex. i love him but im not IN LOVE with him. it doesnt mean i have a brotherly relationship or whatever with him, it just means i never had the chance to fall in love with him..

ya..... i mean if she broke up with you then she shouldnt have said it... but if you broke up with her, then she just wants to still hang with you. Clearly she stills want you to be in her life

another one who does not know the difference between love and passion. :(

This probably just means she still wants to be friends with you and cares about you, but isn't interested in a relationship.

twilight. eclipse. bella tells jacob (a werewolf who loves her) that she loves him like she loves charlie (wth? charlie's her dad), but she isn't in love with him (as she is with edward). there's a difference. u love some1, u want them 2 b happy, in love is romantic.

Jeez, people, stop with the Twilight comparisons! Believe it or not, people don't need examples written in crappy fiction to understand the difference between "I love you" and "I'm in love with you." Like a former poster wrote... "You love your family but you're not IN love with them". That's pretty much all the explanation you need.
