Today, my father called me to ask what my middle name is. He apparently needed to know it to remove me out from his will. FML

OP, If I were in your shoes and that were my father, I'd tell him to take his will and shove it where the sun don't shine. Any father that can't remember his own daughter's middle name - and certainly only asks for it for a selfish reason - doesn't deserve her time anyway. Maybe I'm being harsh but I certainly don't think he's the kind of father I'd want in my life.

Killing anybody isn't particularly something to joke about, but we do it everyday. Jokes usually are about things that shan't be joked about, that's what makes them funny; because it's just a joke.

Sounds like he's being passive-aggressive. He wouldn't need to know what your name is to remove something that was already there.

Been stated already but worth overstating: He's just ******* with your head, not with the will. At least not by getting your middle name. Wills are, pretty universally, inclusive. Meaning the important part is who you put into the (new) will, not who you leave out or remove. Your dad might add som text about not giving anything to you and might even want to be sure to get your name right but that's just filler text judicially speaking. Still, he sure sounds like a bastard. :)

He doesn't need to know your middle name to remove you from his will and he obviously hasn't forgotten it either. But it sounds like he is annoyed with you.
