Today, my four year old got mad that he couldn't find his favorite character on the Wii. So, he decided to smash the Wii remote into my $700 LCD TV, shattering the screen. That was the only TV in the house, and the $80 service plan I bought doesn't cover accidental damage. FML

hey, don't jump to conclusions here guys. This kid may only get to use the Wii on special occasions. Maybe when he does his writing or something, then he gets to play with the Wii. That's how my parents did it with the nintendo.

Kids shouldn't be playing video games until they learn to read and like reading. Fill their brains with that addictive flashing lights/instant reward for tiny acheivements crap, and they'll never go back. I didn't have any sort of video game until I was 14, and it hasn't seem to have done me any harm. I'm actually capable of entertaining myself without electronics!

Props for only having the one tv. Sounds like your life doesn't revolve around it. i've got a 4 year old, and a wii too. No, the wii was not bought for the kid. Daddy was the one that wanted the wii. Which, with what little info I have, I assume the wii was not bought for the 4 year old or it would be hooked up to a tv in his room. And i'm pretty sure you wouldn't have gotten a $700 tv for the kid either. Chill out people. This sounds like it was the Family's tv, and the Family's wii, in the living room. The kid just decided to be a little shit because hes 4. Whip his ass. Then ground him from the wii and the tv. Thats how they learn to behave.

YDI for being a yuppie ****** who spent $700 on a bullshit TV but wouldn't spend 5 minutes disciplining their own son. When son turns out to be a loser like you, actually worse because he'll never be able to afford a TV like that without using a credit card, he'll be angry at you for not disciplining him as well. Proverbs 22:15 "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him."

Discipline shouldn't be administered out of anger, but out of love. Anyway, that's downright disgusting. Don't go too far!

This kid needs his ass beat! Seriously beat. If he were my kid he'd be in a coma right now. more proof that you cannot own nice stuff with children in your home. Though if you used birth control or got an abortion you would still have your TV. truefax

Jesus Christ! What is it with people and not disciplining kids these days?!? When I was a kid, I never would have done that. You know why? Because I knew I would have gotten the belt buckle again. YOUR DAMN FAULT for not knowing how to raise your own kids.
