Today, my friend and I decided to wear a new red lipstick. The guy I like turned around, looked at her and said, "Red is a really interesting, sexy color. Pretty bold. Not bad." and he smiled. I waited, smiling also, only for him frown and say, "Your teeth are REALLY yellow." FML

Firstly, I think red is a really sexy color no matter the woman. But unfortunately, it's only magazine-pretty if you have fabulous white teeth.

Hmmm... that sounds kind of suspicious. That's not realistic conversation. If you're gonna fake FML's, learn the grammar and sentence form used in actual conversation. If this was real he probably wouldn't have commented at all, or if he did it would've been like, "that lipstick's pretty bold." He wouldn't have said, "red is an interesting color," he sounds like some kid who the teacher just called on to tell the class what he thinks of the color red. In actual conversation, nobody sounds that forced. Forced-sounding dialogue will kill a story, whether it's as short as an FML or as long as a Harry Potter book.

#80 has it right. A more orangey red will help with yellow teeth. A lot of people in the fifties wore an almost orange lip color to reduce the look of yellow teeth. I mean, brushing your teeth will help, but some people aren't born with pure white teeth. But go for an orangey red. Also, unless you want the focus of your face to be your lips, i wouldn't go with so bold a color. Try to highlight one or two things on your face, which, if you have fantastically sexy shaped lips, go for it. If not, go less bold on that and do bolder eye-make up, or even, wear jewelry and clothes that accent your collar bone and neck... which if you ask me is the one of the sexiest areas on a woman.

Okay #17. First of all, take a chill pill. Second, YDI for drinking so much soda or smoking or whatever that caused your teeth to go yellow. Essentially the same as not taking care of your teeth. Aka not brushing :) And, OP, how can you not notice you have yellow teeth when wearing bright red lipstick? Kinda careless on your part not to notice such small details...
