Today, my friend was complaining to me about her problems. I tried to be a good, understanding friend, listening and giving advice. When it was my turn to vent, she interrupted me, saying, "Sorry, but I don't really care." FML

Hey everyone, OP here! :) I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments, they were super helpful and many were also quite funny. My "friend" is now my ex-friend and it's the best decision I could've made because she clearly was never a friend to begin with. Thanks again, everyone! Cheers!

That'll teach you to care about stuff. You should be more like me - bitter, jaded, old, grey-haired, deaf, and why are you still here! Get off my lawn!

Who is this person you consider your friend? Do you actually hang out and have a good time together, or is she just a superficial twat that you see around? Friend is a relative term. Sounds like she just considers you a venting door-mat.

I guess it's times like those that you realise who your actual friends are.

What are friends for but to stomp on your guts when you really need them. You sound suprised that you got that answer.

Today's Wednesday. I hope you wore something pink or else you can't sit with me.

Then it looks like you're out of the group!

Oh dear God... Please don't say you are wearing sweatpants too?

OP should write about her friend in the burn book.

Very ignorant friend you got there. You were used like a confessional teddy bear. I bet she'll bitch you out if you would've not listen to her. It's best to walk away from these people.

Yeah, some people can be so self centered and enjoy feeling sorry for themselves. If you were to compare notes, her life would seem less tragic. To her, this is not the time for a pissing contest.

Also the timing to talk about your problems is key. Ex: when my cousin passed away--I cried like crazy. Instead of people just saying "sorry" and leaving it at that, they ALL felt a need to tell me about their love ones (including their pets) that had died years prior. I guess they meant well trying to relate to my feelings but at the time, it just felt like they were underminding my emotions.

That's why when people talk to me I just usually nod my head and smile and look like I care. Plus sometimes they just need someone to listen anyways

Not nice...don't write her off yet she could be having a really bad day. If she does this all the time though, just dump her.

Next time; Tell her shut the Fluck up, go complain to a real friend... I don't give a Fluck...

24- I like how you can write the word "****" on your profile description but not on here. That's flucking confusing...
