Today, my friends are going to see "The Social Network". They talked about it all through dinner, even though I was sitting right there and I hadn't been invited. When I asked about it, one of them said, "You wouldn't be interested", presumably because I don't use Facebook. He doesn't either. FML

Time to 'de-friend' some of these jerks!

Who the %#%$ would make a movie about Facebook??? A movie about FML would be a lot better :). I envision a movie filled with a bunch of random skits like some guy having his bike stolen moments after buying a bike lock, a guy getting kicked in the junk after proclaiming that he's Iron Man, and a girl who has her birthday at a bar but texts the wrong address causing everybody to show up at a computer store. It'd be like Jackass but you know... better.

Um, dude you should of said you wanted to see it and if they did not want you to go... then you really need to find new friends.

face it kid, you're a loser. not everyone can be cool but by god you gave it your all and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

yeah it's a alright movie. nothing great though.

How do you know he doesn't? Just cause he told you? Maybe he just didn't want you making a page and looking him up. If you are one of those people who rail on and on about how dumb FB is, this is your own fault. It could even explain why your friend claimed to not have a profile. In that case, YDI.

Agreed. My first thought was that OP is probably one of those people who isn't content to just quietly opt out of trends she isn't interested in, but instead feels the need to "buck the system" and rail against the sheeplike stupidity of those who do. She's probably subjected her friends to multiple tirades about social conformity, while clad head-to-black-polished-toe in Hot Topic gear. She probably definitely deserves it. On a sidenote: Hehe, pre-coffee suppositions are fun. :}

Agree entirely, IrishJane. Post Irish coffee tirades are even more fun!

@39, this has nothing to do with OP owning a FB account or not. You're illogical. OP simply complained about her "friends"' rudeness. And she was right, they were very rude. OP, get rid of those morons and find yourself some real friends.

I wish I could say that your friends will outgrow the crass behavior of making plans in front of people they are excluding from said plans, but I know a few people in their 40's who do the same thing. The best way to combat this behavior is to say, "Sounds great! What time are we meeting?" along with "Why wouldn't I be invited -- I'm your friend, too, right?" (repeat as necessary until they get a clue that their behavior is hurtful and immature). Also, consider widening your circle of friends so you're not dependent on these particular people for friendship. If their bad behavior continues, you'll be happy to have other (hopefully more polite) friends in your life.
