Customers are jackasses. I've been cursed out for just following policy and procedures. I'm a cashier I don't make the rules! I've been told "is being a cashier too hard for you?" when a customer remembered at the register that she forgot shampoo and I refused to bring one of every brand of shampoo to the register to allow her to choose which one she wanted. I've been cursed out and told "you're just a ******* cashier. you're a nobody." I even had a lady last week curse me out while I answered her politely then proceed to write a letter to my manager saying I called her a bitch (I did NOT) and fake cry. It's like the lowest people use customer service workers to belittle and harass because we can't say anything back. I know exactly how you feel OP I'm going through personal relationship crap too and customer insults don't help. Just remember there's something wrong with them that make them have to belittle others.

Someone once shouted in my face that I was just a waitress and to get my manager, they didn't realise my manager was already behind them and on my side having heard the whole thing. Plus their mate tipped me and apologised. HA, take that douchebag!

I'm sorry she hurt you. She most definitely doesn't deserve a guy who doesn't mind shedding a few tears at work. I hate when people take for granted real, genuine people and dump them like shit. As for that guy, he shouldn't have said that, but maybe he meant it as a joke(I hope).

And that's why i got fired from McDonald's because i got the same kind of comment and refused to serve the customer and tell him it's funny how when nobody is doing my "shitty job" he can't get the food he paid for. Really though, that was a bitch move from your girlfriend, that guy can **** off and no matter what's your job, while you're working you're always worth more than the asshole sitting in his car judging you.
