Today, my girlfriend was giving me a hand job when she started crying. Despite my pleas for her to stop and attempts to comfort her, she insisted that she continue. I feel like a monster. FML

I've been the girl in this situation. It's kind of hard to explain why I cried, but I didn't stop because I felt like I was being silly and I wanted to keep pleasing my man. What you should have done is made her stop and comforted her. Likely she was upset about something and felt that it was unimportant or like she was being irrational, so she put your sexual pleasure over her happiness. Its good that you tried to get her to stop, but in this type of situation, where she wants to feel cared about, you should've made her stop. At least this is my experience.

Are you sure? Were YOU "made" to stop? Be careful what you say, and think how it might be taken. Yes, she needed to stop, but not by asking, demanding, or forcing. I think gently pulling her up to sit next to him and lean her head on his shoulders might have worked better than just "making" her stop. If all he told her was that he didn't want her to do it, she might've heard "I don't want you" instead of "I care". So yeah, it might've helped to get her to stop. But, it'd have to be done really, really carefully. I just hope he spent a long time afterwards, cuddling her and thanking her for caring so much. Obviously she cared for him a great deal, and I think that letting her know that he saw this, returned the feeling and was grateful might have been more important that stopping her, in the long run.
