i'd name a boy Sephiroth :3
Could you compromise -- drop the extra "p," and perhaps translate "raindrop" into a different language? He could call he child "Raindropp" as a nickname.
Tell him he can still pick the name - but he has to have a list of them he likes - and the one off the list you both agree on is the one you choose. If there is nothing on his list you both like - he makes another list. if he's only capable of making ridiculous suggestions - know that you will fill out the birth certificate - not him. I suggest you override him for your child's sake and choose something more sensible. No matter what, if he is insistent - you will fight over this - so be prepared and stand your ground.
Translations - not much to work with from what I see: Albanian -Pike shiu Arabic - the singular form of rain is مطر, and it is pronounced like "maTar" (there is a fatHa above miim and Taa) Catalon - Gota d'aigua The Chinese character for rain is 雨, pronounced yǔ. Czech -Kapljica Kise Czech - Destova Kapka Danish - Regndrabe Filipino - Patak ng ulan Afrikaans/Dutch- Regendruppel Estonian - Vihmapiisk Finnish - Sadepisara French - Goutte de pluie Galician - Gota de choiva German - Regentropfen Hungarian - Esőcsepp Icelandic -Regndropi Irish - Raindrop Italian - Goccia di pioggia Indonesian - Rintik hujan Latvian - Lietus lāse Lithuanian - Lietaus lašas Portugese - Gota de chuva Polish - Kropla deszczu Norwegian - Regndråpe Spanish - Gota de agua Turkish - Yağmur Damlası Russian -Дождевая капля Pronunciation: [dohsht'] Japanese - The noun is ame (あめ/アメ/雨) The verb is ame ga furu 雨が降る The noun is ame (あめ/アメ/雨) The verb is ame ga furu 雨が降る
Raindrop sounds nice but I think snowflake sounds better. Maybe that's what you could name your second child?
Keywords
I'd name one salt and the other pepper. ^_^
Sorry he rained on your parade
