Your mom freaking sucks. You should make her apologize to your daughter.

Aw I hope you comforted your daughter and told her that your mom didn't mean it. I agree with one of the top comments, where parents can't pick conceived kids, but they can pick adopted! She was wanted all along :)

That sucks OP. My sister has a different biological father than me but he met my mum and took her in and raised her since she was two. When I was born my sister was 4. My maternal grandmother decided to tell my sister (a boldfaced lie) that my dad would never love her as much as me because I was his "real" daughter. I get bitchy grandparents, believe me. Just tell your daughter that your mother knows nothing and that you love her the same. There will be trouble down the road but just make sure to reassure her constantly :)
