One thing you have to realize is constantly asking can annoy the boss. It's best to let your work speak for itself and normally you'll get recognition for that.

That is just blatant disrespect on your company's part. I would find a new job asap and leave them without a notice. In today's economy its never good to burn bridges business wise but in this case I'd make an exception. Best of luck OP
