Today, my intern was given his own office. I have been asking to move out of my cubicle for nearly four years. FML

Maybe it's time to take charge. Tell your boss how you feel and assertively ask for an office

Sometimes work just isn't fair. Prove to them you deserve one and you'll get what you need eventually!

Ouch sorry OP, bosses tend to forget the elders working there and promote the new. Be assertive and talk to your boss I'm sure they can work some thing out for your work space.

To be honest, it sounds like nepotism is in play cause I don't know how interns get their own office that quick

In order for it to be nepotism the intern would have to be related to the main boss otherwise it is just regular favoritism

you're politely asking him to get fired.

Was your intern connected in the bosses family? I've seen this happen more than once where I work.

Tell your boss, be open but not agressive. Good Luck OP :)

Yes, he got his own office and OP named his FML bosslady so the intern could be a "major babe"

mif_fml 27

Bosslady I think refers to the OP, as she is a female.

Yeah and maybe the boss is female. So to the boss he could still be a major babe

You need to say something about it or you'll keep getting taken for granted OP

Maybe you should in-tern ask for a office of your own. But seriously, it isn't right that an intern gets an office when you're supposed to be their boss. Talk to your higher up.

may be its time to rethink your career options.

that sucks... prove them wrong ! And by the way your intern might have some connections (or he is really good at negociation)

Don't forget to submit those TPS reports on time.
