wow that bitch fails!
D-day, what is this? The battle of Normandy.
Wow, she sounds like a horrible friend. My sympathies..
OP, so sorry to hear that! I can't imagine. Speaking as a guy, though, your husband is probably going to be far more impressed to see you rise above this challenge than he would just seeing you in an unruined dress. And if you forgive your maid of honor for all this, I bet she'll love you forever.
I leave windows open during rain too. >.> who the hell does that?
That's where the toilet paper saves the day...
I gotta go with both ydi and fyl on this. Fyl for having a shitty (and stupid) friend/maid of honor, but also ydi for not being in charge of your own dress. I mean I understand not wanting it at your house so your fiancé doesn't see it, but that's a pretty important, and usually expensive, piece of clothing. You probably should have went over there and agreed on a place to put it where it would be safest. Like a closet or something.
Typically, maid of honors are in charge of the dress and also typically, they're assumed to have more than one brain cell....

Don't worry, my wife was sick on our wedding day. She was in the bathroom for more then half the reception. And it was still a great day.
D-Day is June 6, so you should have plenty of time to dry out the dress and get someone else to be you maid of honor.
