BasketGhost tells us more.
Hey! Just to start, my dog is absolutely fine. So, we think she may have stepped on the button to lower the window without us realizing before it was too late. No worries, though we were driving fairly slowly after just pulling out of the school parking lot. For anyone wondering the breed, she is a beagle!

Don't roll your windows down then.
My dog did that once. Luckily we were just pulling up in my driveway and were going slow.
My dog did the exact same thing
HEY! Funny story! My husband and I have to tie my husband's beagle to the "oh s**t" bars and put our windows on lock. We only started locking the windows when we found that he jumped out and tried to chock himself on his leash. YES he too is fine! I was not going fast and immediately got out and helped him. Silly doggies. But he no longer tries to jump out! ;) Funny story, reminded me of my baby.
Don't worry too much mine has done the same. Heck he even jumped out of my arms as a pup and knocked himself out on the cement patio! They can't all be smart but they sure do love us unconditionally!
I have to say YDI for leaving the window open enough for the dog to jump out, especially if you had been questioning if the dog would in fact jump out or not if given the opportunity. I hope the dog wasn't hurt.

Not all dogs are smart.. Why was the window open wide enough for it to jump out? You're responsible for your dog. Hope he/she is okay!
Would his name happen to be Marley?
