Haha that's exactly what I'm saying.. I know I'm gonna be like that with my boys when they get older. Well probably not threaten to ground them but scold them, most definitely lol
well at least they thought you were ;)
I think it's time to kick them out...or at least your mom. That's a little ridiculous
Leave brochures laying around of various nursing homes.... Maybe they will get the hint.
It sounds like you should sit them down and have a talk about boundaries.
Be my hero and give her the "as long as you live under my roof" speech we all heard when we were kids!
But now you can turn the tables and say "WHILE YOU'RE UNDER MY ROOF..."
Your roof, your rules. You need to set some boundaries for them if they are living in your house. They seem to be having a problem understanding that you're an adult and that they live in your house. Its a role reversal that is probably difficult but they need to accept the reality of the situation. Good luck getting it straightened out OP.
Your house, your rules.
I bet it's embarrassing for them having to depend upon their child like that. Perhaps it's a way of trying to assert control again, and restore what they might see as the "status quo". Not fun for you, and really frustrating, but it might be worth talking about with them.

Kick them out. They seem like terrible people
Threaten to give them a curfew if they insist on insulting you in your own home.
